Chapter 3
Its a TRAP!

Our group continued on their journey the next day to come upon a fork in the road. One path looks as though it continued the cave, but the second path appeared as though it has been paved with concrete blocks and solid stone walls. A sign stood in the center pointing to the left and right. Left arrow had the word “Detour” written above it, and the right arrow had “Short Cut” written about it. Stevenius was able to recall that long ago there was an insane mage named Ziusudra, it is rumored he used this place as his testing site, he passed away a long time ago but his inventions still function here and now. Some say his traps are silly but all agree that a fearsome trap waits at the end. If one is successful it would save them three days travel, taking them to the shrine of Iron.Kaaya suggesting the short cut to be a good idea, the party accepted her advice and ventured off into a trap. Ours heroes soon discovered the madness Ziusudra had to offer when they were quickly turned into the opposite sex. Kaaya became a man while Stevenius, Tӧtlich, Scorpier, and Daedalus became women. The trap wore off after several minutes but then they were quickly transformed into clowns. The party was continuously transformed as they ventured through the dungeon.

On their path they encountered a naked old man in a hot spring being attacked by vicous clowns. After aiding him in battle they soon discovered him to be the Great War Mage Seymour “Kick-It” Ebenezer. Kick-it has taken residence in the Tower of Druaga, feeling too old to continue the journey. Wanting to complete his goal and correct his past, Kick-it joined the party to venture where he has never gone before.

The party managed to catch a glimps of Sir Kelb, Ethana, and the Special Guard Unit, when they were attacked by #89 and # 87, two members of the Super Ultra Bounty Force (S.U.B. Force). Avoiding capture, the team cleverly fueled the tension between the two members, resulting #89 and #87 to beat each other up, giving way to the team.

After dancing through lighting, flying through portals, and almost drowning. Our heros finally make it to the end. They entered a large room with a giant metal door on the other side. In front of the closed door is a red raised platform, the size of a small stage. A giant machine seems to be connected to the door and is above the red stage. The machine appears like a giant golden brain with a fancy clock work. Some sort of meter stretches down pointing at the stage. To their right was a giant white stuffed bear wearing glasses, hunched over stabbing a giant dead armored chicken with a fork. It was their good friend Steven the Psycho Killer who was not too pleased to see the people who did not give him freedom from prison when they broke out. After the vicious fight, the party decided to take him hostage and turn him in for the bounty on his head. Reaching the end they could not managed to open the huge metal doors. The giant clockwork brain demanded a comical performance in exchange for an exit. Attempting various different skits, the great and wise Kick-it came up with a cleaver stand up routine that pleased the judge, opening the doors liberating them from Ziusudra’s Trap.

Chapter 2
Freedom to Climb

The party returns back to Kaaya’s place to rest up for the night. Luckily for Tӧtlich, no one found the old lady stuffed in the closet. The next morning the group sought out Osdrich to return his stolen precious gems. In return he rewarded them with an acid longsword, fairy boots, and of course gold. While our heroes attended to their business, Kaaya went to see the king who was suppose to make a special appearance in front of the Society of Commerce’s guest palace. King Gilgamesh, who was seen murdered the night before was alive and well, up and about giving a riveting speech to the town’s people. As the group attended to their business in the city, they discovered thousands of wanted posters with their faces littering every street. They put on clever disguises to evade capture and made their way to the East District to enjoy a nice meal with Kaaya. Their lunch was rudely interrupted by a giant green ooze monster that fell from the sky that begun to cause havoc in the East District. Our reluctant “heroes” were rallied by Scorpier Tegrate to save the day and the life of Tailman’s granddaughter who was drowning in the blob. But their luck ran out when they failed to realize that there disguises became undone during battle leading to their capture by Ethana, the lieutenant of the Urik Army.

After several hours in jail, their luck returned with the arrival of the Summer of Anu. As monster continued to fall from the tower floors above Meskia, some fell crashing into the prison freeing our climbers. Taking this opportunity to escape, they fled the city leaving it in chaos on top of freeing some high class criminals.

Several days have passed and the party finds themselves in the garden of the dog. They met 4 female warriors one of them becoming Stevenius’ love interest. They find these ladies standing before a pile of burned bodies, who Stevenius recognized to be the group of punk kids he met several days ago. The female travelers claimed to see a group of 7 black cloaked individuals with 4 giant undead ogres carrying what looked like… 4 black coffins. Then 5 kids ran out of the cave yelling something about a group of Minotaur living in the area. Then the man in front took his hood off revealing a pointed face with sharp ears and a scar across his left eye. He raised his hand burning the 5 kids to a crisp. With that the party figured it was Lord Terron and ventured into the cave. They came face to face with an old hag and her pet giant, one of Lord Terron’s henchmen she vowed to stop our adventurers. The battle was tough with Stevenius almost losing his life. The hag died muttering some non-sense of rising war and the rise of the fallen empire. And with that they called it a night.

Chapter 1
A Little More than Useless...

The Summer of Anu is quickly closing in, and climbers from all across the land have begun to flock to the tower in preparation for the climb. Neba has decided to take his party up the tower to get some training in, which nearly resulted in disaster. Somehow Scorpier almost killed the party when they attempted to flee from a rampaging stampede of monitors. Fatina, Davon, Kally, and Neba all felt that Scorpier Tegrate would only be a nuisance and slow them down. Neba being Scorpier’s older step brother left him in the outskirts of the city of Meskia, on the first floor of the tower. Alone and confused Scorpier ventured into the city in hopes to do some good. There he met a Tӧtlich, Daedalus, and Stevenius in combat against some pathetic climbers putting on a good show for the bystanders in the Central District. Their skills caught the eye of Kaaya, a priestess from the south. She asked the group to take her to the top of the tower in return for riches. Unable to refuse the offer the party accepted. Also while in the Central District the party met Osdrich, who wanted the safe return of his family heirloom that were stolen several days ago. After a long day of exploring the city and becoming acquainted, the party called it a night.

The next day our group of heroes had a nice breakfast in the East District at a fancy restaurant thanks to Kaaya. While eating, crowds began to form on the street obstructing the view. Loud marching and cheering was heard down the streets. The great King Gilgamesh has finally arrived to the city of Meskia. The party made it through the crowd in order to catch a glimpse of the great King, but that was not the only thing they saw. Across the street Scorpier, Stevenius, and Kaaya spotted Neba and his party suspiciously sneak into a dark allay. Leaving Tӧtlich behind who was not interested, the rest of the group followed to see what they were up to. To their surprise, they overheard Neba’s party discussing a plot to assassinate the king. Unable to move silently, the group alerted Kally. With that, Fatina summoned two orcs, giving the party time to escape. This left our heroes fighting in complete darkness thanks to Tӧtlich who eventually decided to join in the fun.

The party had a lot of time to waste before the assassination took place. So they decided to pay Osdrich a visit to obtain more information about this theft crime. Daedalus caught the scent of strawberries around the crime scene and from the note left behind; the party concluded that the great master thief Dark Mousey was the suspect. The party left and went their separate ways throughout the city trying to gather further information to this Dark Mousey character. As they searched, Tӧtlich attempted to extract information from an elderly woman walking the streets which resulted in a grand chase as she ran for fear of her life. He eventually caught her only to have her faint and be stuffed into a bag left in Kaaya’s apartment.

Midnight was but an hour away, the group waited in hiding at the North District, outside the Society of Commerce’s guest palace, near the sewers. Not long after, 7 cloaked figures began to enter the sewers. Once again unable to stay quite the figures began to attack. Once the fight was over, the party noticed that someone was missing. They pursued the last cloaked figure hoping to save the king’s life. Our Heroes fought victoriously through the sewers. They managed to even save the life of the Sewer Inspector Tailman, who was trapped in a room for several weeks, eating rats and roaches to stay alive. In gratitude he gave Daedalus an interesting looking silver key. After ramming down a Metal door the party discovered a huge silver chest. With the key they found seven crystals, a wooden cube with an ornate carving of a mouse, and a note from Dark Mousey. It seems that the party picked up a package that was not meant for them. Finally our heroes made it out of the sewers and followed the footsteps of the dark figure into the king’s bedroom. It was too late…. They saw a man with a sharp face and pointed ears giving a jagged smile. A scar runs across his left eye. Before him is an aged man with silver hair lying down with a dagger rising from his chest, blood soaks the sheets. The man laughs and makes his escape by blasting everyone with wind, pushing them aside. Guards burst through the doors seeing the party and the dead king. More guards are heard on their way. All looks dim when two arrows followed by two knives paralyze 3 of the guards. At the window you see Neba and Kally, “let’s get out of here quick”

You make a clean escape from near capture thanks to Neba. He tried to explain to the group the situation but left soon after due to the party’s behavior. The party did learn of Lord Terron, the man who killed the king. After a long night our heroes went to get a well deserved rest, left with Neba’s words resonating in their heads…. “you should all just go home if you value your lives. There are greater things at work which you will never understand. You’re not cut out to be climbers, next time I won’t save you”
